Events Manager Category Color feature not working

    How do I make different categories of events different colors? The events>category screen lets me choose a color, but that color then doesn’t appear on pages.

    I’m using the Sporty Pro theme.

    just to confirm, did you already tried to use placeholder #_CATEGORYCOLOR ?

    Thank you. After posting my Q, I figured out I’m supposed to put that placeholder code somewhere but I have no idea where!

    you can add it in the formatting option at events > settings > formatting

    Thanks. So it looks to me that I place “#_CATEGORYCOLOR” in the box for Events>Settings>Formatting>Event Categories>Categories List Item Format.

    I tried putting just “#_CATEGORYCOLOR” in the second line (the first line being “

    • #_CATEGORYLINK

      • “) and that didn’t work.

      So I tried adding “

    • ” before and after “#_CATEGORYCOLOR”, as in the first line. That didn’t work either.

      Can you give me more specific directions? Sorry to be a pain, and thank you.
