    Hi Philip,

We have bought wordpress theme – Avada. Installed your plugin and conflicts appear. Seems like events manager shortcodes distort Avada.
Here is what their devs say:

    ———
We’d recommend that you talk to the plugin author about this so they can specify what breaks it with Avada as Avada is very widely used and has thousands of users we hope they’ll give compatibility with Avada a thought! Please let us know if they give you any technical feedback that we can pass on to our developers.
    ———-

Have you tested your plugin with Avada, and do you have some kind of fix maybe ?

What kind of problems are you having?

Events Manager Pro Search Form ( [event_search_form] ) is making Avada distortion (primary menu distortion, sticky menu not working, slideshows not working, etc.) Also events manager calendar add-on does not work when there is an event searh form on the same page.

If I remove this shortcode from any site all works well (including calendar add-on).

I’m not able to see what could be happening here. Which version of WordPress and Events Manager are you using?

Is it only the event form that causes this issue?

    Thread Starter Tjasa

    (@tjasa)

    Hi there,

    We are using

    Avada 3.4.1,
    Wordpress 3.8.1,
    Events Manager 5.5.2
    Events Manager Pro 2.3.1
    Events Manager Fullcalendar Addon 1.3

It is only the event search form causing this when using shortcode:

    [event_search_form]

Do you need our admin pass to our /wp-admin so you could have a look ? If so, please write me down your IM, our email adress.

That version of EM Pro is quite old but I don’t think it’s likely to be causing this problem.

Is the full calendar plugin WP FullCalendar? Please make sure you have version 0.8.4 which is the latest.

    Thread Starter Tjasa

    (@tjasa)

We have WP FullCalendar 0.8.4 installed.

As I said it is shortcode [event_search_form] causing the conflict. Is there a fix or is there not ?

not sure if this will help you but try [event_search_form ajax=1] Or the problem exist right after the page reload without doing the search?

    hi angelo,

I have tried your solution but it does not work.

The problem exists without doing the search

    Hiya,

All EM does is insert content into your page, so it should work with any well-built theme.

Does this work okay in the default theme? If so, then the problem lies with the Avada theme and they’ll need to sort it out.

    Thanks

    Hi, Philip

    your explanation makes sense.

I will go back to Avada – Support and show them your answer.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Philip,

Here is the answer to my question, provided by Theme Fusion Pro- support:

There is a javascript error coming from the events manager script due to google maps api being enabled from the theme. I have disabled the google maps api from theme options so that this issue is fixed.

Is there a way you make some kind of fix in EM so we can use both scripts together ?
