I've seen a few events plugins out there, but not really what I'm looking for.

does anybody know of a plugin where I can manage my calender in wp-admin with upcoming events that I'll be attending or what I'll be doing on a certain day.

kind of like myspace's calender if anybody has seen that.

I use the Countdown plugin http://www.asymptomatic.net/wp-hacks which tells you how many days there is until the event you entered. It reads the dates from a text file which you can edit via Admin.

thanks for the link.. that's basically what I'm wanting except for the events to show in the calender in a balloon tip.

Well, that's beyond my limited php knowledge. However, it is an interesting project. Why don't you ask the plugin author?

EventCalendar 3.0... it only works in WP < 2.0, but rumor has it the author is working on a WP 2.0 version.

It can display the events in a calendar or a list, or both of course, has a nice options window in the administration panel, works with regular posts and creates a nice vcal rss feed for iCal or any other program that can handle vcal files.

    Hope it helps.

I really like Event Calendar, but I've had to give it up. To many errors, and support isn't really there....I mean, it loads fine, but in my javascript console it shows many errors.
Moshmonkey, this is happening with yours too. Validation of your xhtml couldn't hurt either.

I'm looking for a calendar myself, thanks for showing it in action moshmonkey.

Now, I've looked at the source of mosh's calendar and looked at the tables generated for the calendar itself, and they are to my great surprise, properly formed!

Happyworker, do you know what the javascript does? Could it be turned off? Is there a <noscript> alternative?

Vavroom, looks like the JS is the heart of the plugin (collecting variables). Without having your Javascript turned on, I doubt this plugin would even show.
I have found a different calendar that works well, without any errors. Only problem is the Future events. I have a post asking for help, it can be found here.
