Events Calendar 3 not showing options for new events

    I’ve looked through the forums, but didn’t find anything and the plugin’s website wasn’t much help. According to the site, when using Events Calendar 3, creating a new event is done from the “New Post” page. However, the new post page doesn’t have anything about events. Anyone know if something changed after WordPress was updated? the plugin’s page here on WordPress said it was compatible up to 2.6.1, which is what I’m using.
