The plugin looks like is working right, but, when I check the calendar, none of the saved and published events is displayed. It is possible to create, modify, save or publish events at the backend, but these events are never displayed in the frontend pages. Also, when I load an event’s page I get a 404 error (https://interciencias.ugr.es/evento/test/). It looks like the frontend engine cannot get the data.

I checked the possible conflicts and followed every single help page and anything solved my problem, any idea?

    Hi @interciencias

    Glad you reached out.

You may need to flush your permalinks–you can do this by logging in to your WordPress Dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Permalinks from the sidebar menu, and re-save your permalinks by clicking the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. This will flush and re-save your permalinks, which can help to resolve lingering issues of this type.

Next, check out the Caching Guide to exclude the plugin from caching as this can affect the the event pages and calendar. There are links to specific cache plugins. Also review this Caching Basics guide for a lists of folders to exclude.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,
    Rob

Hi @robelemental. First of all, thank you so much for your feedback. I flushed the permalinks (in fact, it was the second time I did because I read it in other post) and followed all your proposals about the caching.

I did not have any plugin or special configuration in order to caching (I am still developing the website). Anyway, I installed ‘LiteSpeed Cache’ and configured it as your guide recommends.

Unfortunately, none of these actions solved my problem. Any other idea?

    Hi @interciencias

Just to clarify, the issue is happening to your existing and newly created events? If so, could you try editing one of your events and change the date, publish it, and check if that makes a difference?

Moreover, could I also ask for the value of the following from your System Information (Events > Troubleshooting)?

    • Custom Tables Migration Status
    • Custom Tables Health Check

Please do not share any credentials, this is for us to follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Hi! Did you figure out this one? I’m experiencing the same problem. All my events suddenly disappeared from my calendar, even though they are still there in my overview of events. It’s ALL the events, also the ones planned a long time ago. I have updated the permalinks, and also cleared the cache without any luck…

This issue happens to all of the events since day one. In fact, the plugin has never worked at all. Nevertheless, I tried modifying an event and publising but nothing happened :(.

Moreover, could I also ask for the value of the following from your System Information (Events > Troubleshooting)?

    • Custom Tables Migration Status
    • Custom Tables Health Check

    Of course, here it is:

Custom Tables Migration Status: Not Required

Custom Tables Health Check: Missing Event Table Data | Missing Occurrences Table Data | Event Table Missing | Occurrences Table Missing

Thank you again for the support, I will be waiting for you reply.

@solidm Sorry but I did not solved this problem yet. But it seems like it is really similar to yours. Did you solved it?

@interciencias No, I still don’t have a solution to this either. However, on my end is WAS working as it should, but one day all the events just disappeared from the calendar.

    Hi @interciencias

Thanks for your response. It seems there are missing tables from your database.

Would it be possible for you to set up a staging version of your live site and try to re-do the migration from there? This is to recreate the proper event data and should fix the 404 issues.

Here are the steps to revert and re-do the migration:

    1. Update to the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro.
    2. Remove any un-needed draft events and empty the Trash.
    3. Install and activate the Code Snippets plugin.
    4. Add this snippet and run it once (be sure it does not stay activated).
    5. Go to Events > Settings > Upgrades and go through the migration process again.

Please re-do the migration on your staging site.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello again @d0153 ,

I have been trying to set up a staging site but the my host’s owner is my university and the server is so limited. I could not set up a staging site but I made many backups before trying the snippet.

Fortunately, the snippet seems to partially work! Now events are shown in the list of events, but does not in the calendar (https://interciencias.ugr.es/eventos/), neither in the list of upcoming events. In fact, if I check the list of upcoming events it looks empty, but if I check the list of past events it shows all the events: the past and the future. Yes, an event programmed for the future appears as past (https://interciencias.ugr.es/eventos/lista/?eventDisplay=past). The good new is that the single event page looks pretty nice while some time ago I got a 404 error (https://interciencias.ugr.es/evento/test/).

Also, I updated to the latest version of the plugin and I got a message saying I had to migrate the events to the latest version. When I go to Settings > Upgrades I get a ‘Loading…’ indicator that never ends. I guess this process may be long, but according to the documentation it takes around 5-10 minutes, I only created 3 events and at this time I have been waiting during half an hour :(.

Thank you so much for your help one more time, it looks like we are so close of solving this problem. I am looking forward for your next reply.

    Hi @interciencias

    Thanks for your message.

Could I ask again for the values of the following:

    • Custom Tables Migration Status
    • Custom Tables Health Check

Also, please provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

Moreover, may I ask for a screenshot of the loading screen that you’re encountering from your end? Is the loading screen before you preview the events or after? I’d like to check it further from my side.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @d0153, thank you again for your quick reply. These are the values you asked me:

    Custom Tables Migration Status: Incomplete

Custom Tables Health Check: Event Table Missing | Occurrences Table Missing

    PHP version: 7.4.33

    WordPress version: 6.2.2

The events calendar version: 6.0.13.1 (recently updated)

    Theme version: Astra 4.1.3

About the loading page, it is before and after viewing, never ends loading. I cannot upload a screenshot from my work’s PC, give me a couple of days.

Thank you so much, I will be waiting for your reply.

    Hi @interciencias

    Thanks for your response.

Could you try re-doing the migration again, but before doing step #5, please ensure you only have The Events Calendar and 2020 theme activated.

After migration is complete, you can now re-activate the plugins and themes you were using, and check if that resolves the issue.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello again @d0153

I deactivated every plugin except the code snippet plugin and the events calendar and I activated 2020 theme. After it, I rerun your code snippet, but the upgrades page keeps loading. Now I can show you a screenshot.

That is the loading page that never ends.

About the events, it keeps working as I told you last time. It looks like it works nice with past events, but does not show the future ones.

Thank you for your help, from the bottom of my heart. I will be waiting for your next repply.

    Hi @interciencias

Could you check the recommendation provided in our knowledgebase article and see if it helps with the migration process?

    Hello again @d0153

I checked your article and followed the steps. About the WP Memory, it looks so weird, because some times the plugin displays 50%, 100% or even 200% memory usage.

Nevertheless, I added and activated the snippet, but it does nothing, the upgrades page keeps stuck 🙁

Thank you for your help. I keep waiting for your repply.
