Hi. Ive the Eventbrite 1.0.10 plugin installed, with latest KEYRING (1.6.2) in latest wordpress.
Followed instructions to a tee, and have validated connecting via Keyring to Eventbrite account.

I can see a new Eventbrite Template file to select in my page, however no listings are being displayed. Nothing in source code.

Tested under default TwentyFifteen theme and Salient 3rd Party Theme. No luck in any events. Ive dis-connected and re-connected a few times.

Two test events are in the EventBrite account, for future dates and both public events.

Have all plugins been tested on the latest version and someone clear they are working?

    Hi freddagg,

Yes, we develop and test against trunk, and have no issues we know of at the moment.

Do you get the events you expect when you check the API directly?

    https://www.eventbriteapi.com/v3/events/search/?user.id=XXXXX&token=XXXXX

Your user ID is at Tools > Keyring > External ID in your WordPress admin, and the token can be found under Account Settings > App Management > Show Client Secret and OAuth Token > Your personal OAuth token in your eventbrite.com account.

Their Quick Start guide also gives some handy tips in working directly with their API.

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply yesterday.

It seemed the problem is because of two things.. worth mentioning to you.

    1) I could only see 1 of my two test events when accessing the API directly. So I deleted the connection, and created a new KEY at the eventbrite end. I then struggled (as I did the first time) to make a connection again between the two. I wonder if this is perhaps something to do with my website being in a sub-directory.. however after about 40 attempts it connected.

    2) I added a third test event into eventbrite, but could only see 2/3 showing in the API directly. So I deleted the event that was not showing (was set to public like all the others) and whamo.. the other two started being displayed within my wordpress page. So it seems this event was causing a block with the display of the other events.

Did you have any links for documentation. The events look shocking in my 3rd party theme (full screen width with strange formatting).

Ah, yes, if http://projectamplify.net/ is your WP install root, then that would explain (it’s a known issue). The fact you got it to connect after dozens of tries, is, frankly, the weirdest part 😐 Thanks for mentioning it, noted.

Glad you got it running. That’s a great example of why it’s good to check what’s coming straight out of the API when not seeing the expected results from the plugin. Also be aware that the default endpoint we use (events/search, when display_private is NOT set to true), is cached on Eventbrite’s side up to 7-8 mins, which can explain additional differences between what’s in your account and what that endpoint brings back. If you want to eliminate that variable, use display_private to force the owned_events endpoint, but then you’ll have to handle any sorting of those events yourself on the front-end.

Yes, this article will give you everything you need (the Theme Support section), and what we have for developer docs are here. Hope this helps!
