Support » Plugin: Very Simple Event List » event title link to custom url

  • Hi there – Can you please let me know how I can have the event title open to the same URL as the ‘click here’ event link? I only have ability to have link to the event page. I was provided code a while back to get around this but your file structure has changed and unsure where to update. Can you include this option as a future feature?

    // display the event list
    $output .= ‘<div id=”event-‘.get_the_ID().'” class=”vsel-content”>’;
    if ( ($page_image_hide == ‘yes’) && ($page_info_hide == ‘yes’) ) {
    $output .= ‘<div class=”vsel-meta-full”>’;
    } else {
    $output .= ‘<div class=”vsel-meta”>’;
    if ($page_link_title != ‘yes’) {
    $output .= ‘<h4 class=”vsel-meta-title”>’ . get_the_title() . ‘</h4>’;
    } else {
    $output .= ‘<h4 class=”vsel-meta-title”>’;
    $output .= sprintf( ‘%2$s‘, esc_url($page_link), get_the_title() );
    $output .= ‘</h4>’;

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Crissy,

    Yes, file and code structure has changed.

    For current plugin version open file “vsel-template” and look for:

    $output .=  '<h3 class="vsel-meta-title"><a href="'. get_permalink() .'" rel="bookmark" title="'. get_the_title() .'">'. get_the_title() .'</a></h3>';

    Remove this and add this instead:

    $output .=  sprintf( '<h3 class="vsel-meta-title"><a href="%1$s"'. $page_link_target .'>%2$s</a></h3>', esc_url($page_link), get_the_title() );
