Event Tickets not working with free Events Calendar

    So I am a newbie to the Events Calendar but I have the free version and downloaded regular Event Tickets so we could put RSVP on our events. But as soon as I activate, all our events that I have a cost see for now starts saying “Free” in the event description. Additionally the cost module that was there is removed. I saw a plugin under the Events Calendar extensions but the extension only fixes Event Tickets Plus not Event Tickets. Can any help be provided?

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out! The “cost” field is removed by default when our ticketing plugins are activated (even though the value will still display on the front end if you had entered one), but you are correct that the extension only works with Event Tickets Plus. I would recommend deactivating Event Tickets temporarily so that you can get to the cost field on the event edit screen, removing the cost, and then reactivating Event Tickets. This should remove the cost field altogether from the front end of the event screen. Then, you can enter the cost manually in the description of the event.

    If you would like to keep the cost field and change how the cost is displayed (like removing the “free” text that appears with RSVPs), I’d recommend taking a look at our themer’s guide, which has some great info on customizing our plugins!
