  • Just installed the plugin and had same issue and search for solution landed me here. Found solution so thought would share with you too.

    Make sure that:
    – Under Events > Settings > General > Event Submission Form that Allow anonymous event submissions is still set to yes

    Some users report that “Guest Default User” should be set to only have user permissions of a contributor rather than an author

    can I know if the submitted event get the Pending Status and booking email are sending correctly?

    I am still not getting anything. NO email to tell me someone submitted an event. Where would the pending status show up?

    I see that my event went into my events page on teh admin side, but I want to be able to approve them.

    I made the changes suggested by Ryanlynx too but no change.

    Sounds like you need to adjust the settings under Events > Settings > General > User Capabilities for the user role used for submitting events.
