    Hello,

I have an event in the “Motorcross” category, and in the subcategory “GP”.
When in the all events view, it’s visible. If you go to Motorcross category view, it’s visible. But when you are in the the subcategory “GP” view it says there are no events in “GP”.

I want visitors to go to the subcategory page to only see events of that subcategory. Unfortunately it isn’t possible now.

    Hope someone can help out.

    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

  • Same for my website!

This is an interesting issue @michael – can you link to the events page on your site where this is happening? I’ll take a look in person to see what I can learn.

In the meantime, can you also share your “System Information”? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Hey @sushi78, you can do the same steps if you’re interested in them.

    Thank you!

    The event page: http://makelaar-drenthe.nl/sbrmx/events/

    Category Motorcross: http://makelaar-drenthe.nl/sbrmx/events/categorie/motorcross/

    Subcategory GP: http://makelaar-drenthe.nl/sbrmx/events/categorie/motorcross/gp/

So as you can see, the event “Test2” will show on the main page and the motorcross page, but not on the GP page even though it is in that subcategory. (It will show a text saying it’s empty)

The before mentioned issue is more important, but whenever I cap the content archives on a website to XX characters, the calender stops showing.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply here.

I use Genesis as well and tried to reproduce the issue, but it worked for me.

For your test event were you checking both the parent and sub category?

I checked only the sub category.

Also, as for Genesis integration please read this guide on some issues you might have and how to fix them:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/genesis-theme-framework-integration/

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks
