  • Hiya!

It doesn’t, but this is certainly something to consider.

You should also be able to achieve this yourself using template files to override the default EM output.

    Cheers,

It’s probably one of the few features that tri.be’s events calendar (http://tri.be/wordpress-events-calendar/) has over Event Manager.

I’m not sure I understand your advice – how would I achieve this alone?

we’re looking into this already actually, but one problem with how microformats work is that it’s input directly into the HTML being displayed, and we offer custom formatting options in our settings page (formatting tab) which needs to be changed

that means essentially you can already create microformats in EM by adhering to the schemea in

    http://schema.org/Event

We’d be implementing it into our default formats, but when that happens, you’d need to revert to old settings. We’ll probably add a post about it with some examples of how to make microformat-friendly html with our placeholders.

Great. Would love to see this implemented.

By the way – amazing support service.

thanks! look forward to getting this implemented as well.

Any ETA on when this might be available? I know it wasn’t in the most recent update… is there a roadmap?

If I was to try implementing myself, where would I do this?

In the ‘Single Event Page’ section?

    Plugin Author Marcus (aka @msykes)

    (@netweblogic)

You could do this almost entirely in the Formatting Tab, and one place could be the Events > Single Event Page.

You could do this to other formats too, such as the lists, locations etc.

the only part that requires PHP would be the display of tickets and pricing, which is located in templates/forms/bookingform/..

Any ETA on when this might be available?

    no ETA yet, sorry!

My purpose of doing it is for the SEO and to have the dates listed in Google results.

For this purpose, I don’t think it’s necessary to do it in several places. So, which place makes the most sense? Lists? Single event?

As for the ETA, I really think you should put it on the roadmap for the near future. As I originally mentioned, it’s a feature available on ‘The Events Calendar.’

    But I love Events Manager!

    Thanks!

    single events for sure

it’s on the roadmap, we’ll be adding plenty of new features in the near future, including revamping the default formats (which is when we’ll be adding this)

    Is the roadmap public?

Any further update to when we might see this?

If not soon, any recommendation on a developer who may be able to help us with implementation?

    Thanks!!

There’s no public roadmap. Too many features to list, would lead to too many hopeful people 🙂

Any devs I know of are all busy or on holiday atm….

However, I’d recommend elance.com or similar places, since this is just formats in the EM settings you don’t necessarily need a WP developer here, just someone savvy with HTML and understands how microformats work.
