[event manager extended] strange map problem

I have been using this plugin for a while now and I really like it. I have had no problems with it up to this point. Now when I try and put in a new location for a new event (not using dropdown menu for locations) it had some trouble getting the google map to load. After a bit it loaded but I have a different map being displayed on the event page than is being displayed in the editing mode. The one that is being displayed on my site puts the location off the coast of West Africa when my event is in Northern CA. I’m not sure what to change since it comes up correctly on my event settings page on the admin side. Has anyone seen something like this and know what I am missing?
