to be honest. I need to sure which Event Manager plugin you are referring. Are you talking about this ? https://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/
Now, how our plugin works, if you check the free version which has almost all features except some pro features. you need to create rating form, you can configure the form for post types with so many options, each form works separate where always one form is set default. You can show via shortcode, auto integration if the theme uses the_content hook and so on. Even you can integrate using custom function call.
we didn’t test with https://wordpress.org/plugins/events-manager/ plugin but we can test. Certainly what seems to me this event plugin uses custom post types. if our plugin works with any default post types then the pro addon will give extra features for custom post types
Now way to set per event category rating setting for this event plugin as we didn’t do any native integration.
