    Hey guys,

I’d like to let you know about the following bug. If SportsPress > Settings > Events > Event List > Title Format is set to Home | Away, then Home and Away teams displayed incorrectly.

    There are two teams
    1. The first team is Kangaroos with a home Venue is Kensington (see screenshot https://take.ms/n4wTf )
    2. The second team is Eagles with a home Venue is Essendon (see screenshot https://take.ms/SFyWk )
The teams have a match on Kensington venue (see screenshot https://take.ms/tm5aH )
However, if you go to Events > Calendars > Your Calendar in List mode the Home | Away column will contain incorrect information (see screenshot https://take.ms/j9WdE ). Despite the Kensington is a home venue for the Kangaroos, it’s displayed as Eagles is a home team.

I’m using the Rookie theme and the latest version of the SportsPress plugin.
    – WordPress 5.7.1
    – Rookie theme 1.5.4
    – SportsPress 2.7.8

    Best Regards!

    Hi @ramzesimus ,

Did you check the Order option at SportsPress->Settings->Matches? https://snipboard.io/KfpUeM.jpg

    Thanks,

    Hi @savvasha ,

    Thanks for your fast reply!

Unfortunately, the Reverse Order option doesn’t fix the issue. Please check the following short screencast https://take.ms/fpKTU

Can you try to apply the following commit?

    Hi @savvasha

    Sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t fix the issue. It swaps the team’s position for all events. As a result, team positions in other events became incorrect. See next screenshot

Before Fix + Reverse order On

After Fix + Reverse order On

I hope we can find another solution.

Hmmm… I am not sure then that I have understand correctly what the exact issue is.

You don’t need the “reverse order” for ALL events, just for some of them?

Despite how they appear in the Event List, inside the Event everything appear as it should be?

The Event Venue is auto-populate based on the “first” team’s venue. If this is not the case, then you can manually add the preferred venue of the event.

    Thanks,
    Savvas

Actually, I don’t need the reverse order option at all. It was your suggestion in the first reply to check if it works 🙂

However, only for some events teams appeared in an incorrect column (Home or Away). You’re right, that the first team in the event is always displayed as a Home team under the Home column in the list, but the problem is that manually selecting the venue doesn’t take any effect.

Ok, I am really lost now! 🙂
In your first screenshot (https://take.ms/Rj3rB) I see that in the event title you have Eagles vs Kangaroos (which is correct, isnt it?) and in the Results Meta-box you have Eagles first (as Home team) and Kangaroos second (as away team), which is also correct (?)
In the second screenshot (https://take.ms/j2ll0) I see again the Eagles team in the Home column, and the Kangaroos team in the away column.

Are these the demo data from SportsPress? Did you try to update an event or create a new one?

    Thanks,
    Savvas

    I’m sorry that I wasn’t clear.

    1. Yes, the title is correct (Eagles vs Kangaroos).
    2. No, the Home team should be Kangaroos based on the selected Venue (see screenshots https://take.ms/WOASo and https://take.ms/UUHsL )

I tried to create different events, but the result is the same. The home team is always the first one no matter what Venue is selected.

The selected venue has nothing to do with the Home – Away teams! The venue is auto-selected based on the home team, not opposite!

You can manual select what ever venue you want. This will not affect either Home or Away team. But if you don’t select manually a venue, then it will be auto-selected based on your Home team.

Ah, I see. Thanks for your answer. Just a last one, the Home team is always the first one in the event if Reverse Order is not selected, right?
