Event “Edit” link does nnot work for non-administrators

When a user who is an “Editor” brings up an event and clicks on the “Edit” link on the bottom of the page, My Calendar shows the “Add Event” screen instead of the editing screen as it should. However the “Edit” link works just fine for Administers. Editors have the following permissions: Add Events, Publish Events, Approve Events, Edit Locations, View Help.
Is this a bug in the latest version or is there a misconfiguration on the site?
