# Event Details Permalink

 * Hello everyone,
 * I’m new to WordPress and wanted to change the event-details url from “domain.
   xy/event/details/eventName” to “domain.xy/events/eventName” but I don’t know 
   where to start editing. (Note: i searched for a solution a few hours via Google
   but didn’t find anything because i’m not really sure what to search)

    and you want it? example.com /event /details /eventname
   <domain> <custom post type> <Taxonomy> <post name> Or something… example.com /
   event /details /eventname <domain> <custom post type> <any text> <post name>

 * no it’s no custom type
    it’s the standard event type from the wordpress backend
   i thought it would look a lot better and when a user deletes a part and types
   in “domain.xy/event/details” or “domain.xy/event” he will get a 404 error

 * I have no dea.. I never heard any BUILT IN WP feature named event… I searched
   wordpress event documentation and nothing found. can you provide a screenshot
   what you really meaning by “event”.

 * sorry i think i misunderstood the “custom post type”
    it’s a custom event type
   with the title “events” and can be found in the left sidebar in the wordpress
   backend

 * As I said.. It is a “custom post type” named event. I also have custom posts 
   in my blog named album, video, playlist, news etc.. I think it is built in feature
   of your theme. If yes, you have to edit your theme. Which theme are you using?
   from WP/theme or other source? If your theme is a pro theme then the provider
   can help you best. If you downloaded from wp, then say name..

 * That should be a premium theme. So, it is not a public theme. You better ask 
   support from the seller.
