Event details not opening, error 403

on the side bar recent events works, but when I click on calendar, and then click on an event in the main body, I get the following error message:

Something went wrong while fetching events.
The request status is: 403
The error thrown was: Forbidden

When I search for events under a certain category, I get the same error message.
