Event date is being changed when published

    Hello and thank you for a wonderful event list!

    I am having a problem with the event date selection. I have an event on Saturday, 12/07/2019 – however, when I input this date and publish/update it changes the event date to 12/06/2019. I have tried logging out, force refreshing, etc and it still changes the date.

    Please help! Thank you!

    Thanks Magen! Have contacted you already and have done some tests.

    I’m pretty certain it’s caused by the newly added core function called wp_date(). When rolling back to “old” function all dates are displayed properly again.

    I’m working on this, in the meantime please don’t change all your event dates manually because dates are listed properly in your database.

    Hi all,

    Still working on it, hopefully a fix tomorrow. Will keep you informed.

    It has something to do with wrong integration of function wp_date().

    Hi,

    It should be fixed when updating plugin to version 10.9

    Changelog:
    Fix: added UTC time zone to wp_date()
    In some cases wrong date was being returned (depending on time zone)

    The problem has been resolved!!!

    Just FYI, to any who forced the correct date to display, you will need to go back and update the event dates.

    Hi Guido,

    unfortunately not, I have the latest version installed.

    Funny thing: when I change the date in backend and hit save, there are other dates displayed in backend after I hit the “save” button

    I thought I had fixed that behavior in current version and other users with this problem also confirmed this. Are you willing to give me temp admin login? If this is possible, can I reach you via a personal website?

    Hi,

    I am experiecing the same issue on website https://vriesversplatform.nl/

    When saving the event, with the correct date, next the date is set 1 day earlier.
    (So march 12 2020 becomes march 11 2020)

    Very Simple Event List
    Versie: 10.9

    Wordpress
    versie 5.3.1

    Can you please help!
