Event color coded with category (background category color with black text on to

    I tried searching the forum for an answer to this. My client would like the event in month mode to have a background of the category color with black text over top. I see you can do this if the event is all day or spans several days. They have specific times for the event but would still like it to display this way. Is there something I am missing in the settings, a theme or an add on available to do this? Is this a customization I can pay for? Thanks.

    Hi @holliboydwhite,

    You can navigate to Events > Theme Options > Month/week/day view tab

    There you can set the event and font colours.

    Thank you for replying – I never received notification from WordPress that you did.

    My clients would like the color scheme to be reversed – that is if a category is coded bright green then the text is black and the box behind the words are the category.

    Hi @holliboydwhite,

    When you navigate to Events > Theme Options > Month/week/day view >

    Set “Event text” to #000
    Set “Event background” to #ABFFFF
    Set “Month view date background” to #ABFFFF

    I appreciate your help but I am looking for the category color to be reflected on the month view and not on hover. Each color is different for each category. I circled the screenshot you have included in the theme options. They want each event to have the background color of the category and the text on top of it to be black.

    @holliboydwhite,

    Besides customizing the given fields, the only other option you have is to proceed to Events > Calendar Themes > select and activate the theme you would like.

    When I select the theme that has this screenshot it does not display like this. How do I customize the fields?

    Hi @holliboydwhite,

    If you’re having trouble with that another alternative is to embed our free hosted calendar — it’s the new Saas platform just released and also you can customize the fields using CSS and there will be themes shortly. You can set it up in a moment at https://time.ly/pricing/ (first column) then embed it using the Embed code.

    I suggest that you click on the Get Help link, and open a ticket, if you want to customize the month view for that — and I’ll set that up for you from my end.
