    Hello,

I’m having issues where the events are not in order by date. The last event shown on the page was added last, and I was under the impression it would filter in chronological order, instead of order it was created by.

Is there a way for events to be shown by date and not by order it was created?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @debbieduarte,

Yes, you can change the events order by adding orderby attribute in events shortcode [events orderby="event_start_date"]

Please check the event listing documentation https://wp-eventmanager.com/the-event-listings/

    I hope this helps.
    Thank you

    Hello,
the “order by date, list featured events first” programming does not work anymore. There is a lot of chaos at the moment.
The shown solution here does not work any more:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/show-featured-events-first/
    What can we do?
    Need help urgently. Thanks!

    Hi!
I have a problem, I can’t order by events start date, only by post date.
    I use [events orderby=”event_start_date” show_filters=”false”], but it doesn’t work.
    Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem as @dgtldlx . I have tried everything and it still will not work here is my shortcode.
    [events per_page=”10″ show_filters=”true” orderby=”event_start_date”]

    Please help!

Ran into the same issue- it works if you use orderby=”_event_start_date” in your shortcode. The meta field is actually called _event_start_date, unfortunately the documentation on the site is wrong.

    The shortcode [events orderby=”event_start_date” order=”DESC”] doesn’t work!
I also tried orderby=”_event_start_date” but it didn’t work, the same result.

    Hi @gianfry70it

If you just copy above shortcode it has the wrong double quotes might be the issue. Just try to type the shortcode. If still not working then please check the date format which is you are using and update the wrong event which is showing in the listing page. Once you have updated those events it starts workign. Set up date format 2021-08-15.

    Thank you

Hello,I hope your problem is resolved.I folowed the instructions for me it worked but just for year 2021.
Now I’m adding events year 2022 and the event manager mix both years together.
For exemple it appears in this order:
    10/01/2021
    12/01/2022
    15/01/2021
    How can we order that?
    Regards
