    Hi @crowdedtent,
    Thanks for writing in,

It is not clear to me what exactly is the issue. Could you please elaborate and describe the expected behavior vs the current behavior?

    Any additional information will help.

Thanks in advance for your reply

    Absolutely @sjaure ,

what I would like to be able to do is:
    – select Appearance -> Menus in the backend sidebar, then
    – select my Event Categories under “Add menu items”
    – add them to the main menu and call it a day.

Shame it does not work. One can admire the white-like-fresh-snow screen here:
    https://ypethrioszoi.gr/eventos/category/%ce%bf%cf%81%ce%b5%ce%b9%ce%b2%ce%b1%cf%84%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%ad%cf%82/

At the moment we have a half-baked solution, where we use tags instead of categories, in order to display some content to visitors who desire to see excursion availability in one category and not all of them at the same time.
The link structure goes like this:
    https://ypethrioszoi.gr/tag/%CE%BF%CF%81%CE%B5%CE%B9%CE%B2%CE%B1%CF%84%CE%B9%CE%BA%CE%AD%CF%82/

Let me know if this helps further,
many thanks for taking the time to investigate!

    Hi @crowdedtent

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue!

Can you update your plugin to the most recent version and flush your permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and Save Changes to test if the issue still occurs?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hey @jaimemarchwinski

since the plugin was already on version 5.2.0, I flushed the permalinks a few times and then cleared the caches a few times.

    …problem persists 🙁

    Any other ideas?!

    Thanks!

    Hi @crowdedtent

I’m sorry to hear that didn’t work for you.

As a next step, can you try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to switch things around on your live site.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

So I tried it out in a bare installation in staging, as you suggested @jaimemarchwinski and soon enough I figured out it is some weird conflict between “The Events Calendar” Version 5.2.0 and “SEOPress” Version 4.0.3

I am notifying the developers over there and might also be useful for your team.

    Cheers!
