# Event Categories are missing

 * I am unable to enable or use event categories. Following [these instructions](http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-categories/),
   the Enable Categories setting is missing on my events settings page.
 * Event categories are available if I go directly to the URL (/edit-tags.php?taxonomy
   =event-categories&post_type=event), but they don’t show up in the event edit 
   form. The Event Categories item is also missing from my Events Manager menu in
   the dashboard.
 * This is a multisite installation if that matters. Any ideas on why I can’t use
   event categories or how I can activate them?

 * After more digging, it looks like for a multisite installation that all of the
   event category management has to be done through the network hub. By going there,
   I am able to manage the event categories normally. All of the sites on the network
   have to share categories (which is OK for me in this instance).
 * This may be a result of my settings; I’m not sure. Just posting in case anyone
   else has this problem.
