Event calendar that is text file driven

I’m looking for any recommendations folks might have for a simplified text file driven event calendar implementation. I would like to maintain my event information in a text file, and use that file to populate an online calendar. The text file in question could be something like xml or just a csv file, doesn’t really matter. What matters is that I wish to avoid having to go in and enter event info date by date.

So can anyone suggest any calendaring plugins that support what I’m looking for? (I’ve looked, and am surprised that I have yet to find anything that does this. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places?)
