Event Calendar future dates

    At the moment I am trying to figure out the following:

    I would like to create a post and ’schedule’ this on a date in the future. Is it then possible to show this future date on a calendar in the sidebar?

    Thus…a date in the future presented on a calendar in a sidebar and when someone clicks on it the ’scheduled post’ appears…?

    Somehow none of the plug-ins I have tried seem to do this…or am I missing something?

    Any help, tips or advice would be highly appreciated.
