Event author selection and scalability

    Hi, when creating an event we can choose the author amongst the WordPress users. This is presented as popup menu on the event creation page. When having hundreds of users, this UI is not scalable. I would suggest to select by default the currently logged in user as author and not display the full list of possible users in the page, but instead have a button that would open a popup window where user selection can be made. This window would also include a search field to ease user selection.

    The author selection definitely needs some refinement. I’m not sure that’s the option I’ll go with, ultimately, but it’s something due for some adjustment. I’m leaning towards using an autocompletion search box, at the moment.
