  • I’m not posting here to strut my stuff, because I don’t got much stuff, but to say that WordPress is a wonderful piece of work. I’ve recently migrated a few posts from blogger and set up everything through trial and error reading primarily the forums and some help I’ve gathered from others. WordPress is great and I’m glad that I got into it around the time of it’s release. The only thing I havn’t figured out is a slick way to upload and post yet pictures seamlessly. I was used to “Hello’s” resizing and uploading all in one. Any ideas would be helpful. I’m on Mac OS X by the way.

The only thing I’ve changed is the header. I cropped some existing pictures to 740×200 for headers. They are super easy to change out and the variety is fun. I just save them as kubrickheader.jpg and throw them into the existing default theme/images folder. Looking foreword to further tweaking.

    I’m at http://www.rustyhinges.com

  • There are several plugins to help post pictures, I’ve used Exhibit before and found it quite easy to use. It creates thumbnails and autolinks to the full image.

But just for the record, the upload feature of WordPress will create thumbnails for you too. Just use the links it gives you after the upload has completed.
