• Hi,
    this Plug In does not fullfill the EU requirements.
    The desigm must be as follow

    1) The image used for accessing the label in the case of nested display shall:
    (a) be an arrow in the colour corresponding to the energy efficiency class of the product on the label;
    (b) indicate on the arrow the energy efficiency class of the product in white in a font size equivalent to that of the price;
    and
    (c) have one of the following two formats:
    ( this is what you use)
    2.) In the case of nested display, the sequence of display of the label shall be as follows:

    (a) the image referred to in point 1 shall be shown on the display mechanism in proximity to the price of the product;

    (b) the image shall link to the label;

    (c) the label shall be displayed after a mouse click, mouse roll-over or tactile screen expansion on the image;

    (d) the label shall be displayed by pop up, new tab, new page or inset screen display;

    (e) for magnification of the label on tactile screens, the device conventions for tactile magnification shall apply;

    (f) the label shall cease to be displayed by means of a close option or other standard closing mechanism;

    (g) the alternative text for the graphic, to be displayed on failure to display the label, shall be the energy efficiency class of the product in a font size equivalent to that of the price.

    The ‘arrow’ (color and energy rating must be the same as in in the Label itself), must be shown in all pages where the product is listed, means not only in the detail product page, as well in all other and in the order process pages too, where the product is listed!

    3.) The appropriate product data sheet made available by suppliers in accordance with Article 3(g) shall be shown on the display mechanism in proximity to the price of the product. The size shall be such that the product data sheet is clearly visible and legible. The product data sheet may be displayed using a nested display, in which case the link used for accessing the data sheet shall clearly and legibly indicate “Product data sheet” (english), or ‘Produktdatenblatt’ (german). If nested display is used, the product data sheet shall appear on the first mouse click, mouse roll-over or tactile screen expansion on the link.’

    General Info:

    An other issue is as well, that the Energy Label always have 7 steps. If the rating for these products starts at A+++ it will end at D. Label starts with A end with G.
    The color at each steps are always the same. Means a A+++ for one product, might have the same color as a A for an other product

    The best way would be to have three product attributes. One select the Rating (A+++ to G) and one the range (A+++ to D, A++ to E, A+ to F and A to G) and one to upload a product data sheet. The color could be hard coded for each step. For eBay, google shopping and othermarket places or listings, the Energy rating is a must and must be exported in any listings!

    In addition there are as well configurable products: Means having i.e. a lamp with different wattage (description remains the same), each lamp have his own EU Label and his own EU Energy rating and must fullfill above mention requirement.

    Unfortunately, this Plug In does not help to fullfill the EU requirements at all and disqualify WordPress/woocommerce as ahop for products where the Energy LAbel is necessary (lamps, light, LED, dishwashers, oven etc)
