You’ll need to contact Elegant Themes as commercial themes are not supported here.
And can you tell me where the categories section under posts show up?
I really have no idea — I’ve never used that theme. Sorry. (That’s partly why we don’t support commercial themes here – as we don’t have access to them for testing or use.)
So WordPress sites without themes don’t have posts and categories? I thought that portion of the dashboard or interface was universal.

We don’t know how commercial themes operate. If you have a query of one themes distributed on WordPress.org, let us know.
There’s no such thing as a WP site without a theme. Perhaps I misunderstood your question – if so, apologies. If you switch to a default theme (twentyeleven) do you have the same problem/question?
I’m a newb, but that makes sense. I’m learning and doing at te same time. Any suggestions or should I focus on the intricacies of the theme?
