    Hi,

We have the plugin installed and it’s working fine, with the exception of one place. We have a tax plugin installed that calculates tax after the shipping address is validated during Checkout. However, even after the address validation updates and shows tax = $0, a tax amount is still being deducted from the gift card. We tested placing orders with payment being just a credit card and the amount charged does not include tax, which is correct.

Can you help to troubleshoot this?

    Thanks!

I have an update to this issue. Although during the last checkout step it shows the amount deducted will include tax, after I place the order the Order confirmation shows the correct amount being deducted (excluding tax). The email confirmation received by the customer is also correct. So the issue is only happening on the last checkout step, before the final ‘place order’ function.

if the ‘shipping cost’ is less that 20% of the ‘cart total’ then ‘free shipping’ option should be applied. can anyone help me out with this?

Our plugin doesn’t do anything with tax or shipping calculations so I think you will need to contact the developer of that plugin instead.

The PW Gift Card product type is tagged as “Virtual” inside WooCommerce so tax and shipping should not be applied at all. When a gift card is redeemed it will pay for the entire order, tax and shipping included.

I’m marking this thread as Resolved but let us know if you have any further questions. Best of luck with your store!
