# Essential Grid Shortcode

 * Hi all!
 * I have made a grid with Essential Grid, and i want to place it on my homepage.
   
   I’ve added the shortcode ([ess_grid alias=”maingrid”]) to my ‘home’ page, but
   the grid doesn’t show up. There is nothing wrong with the shortcode or grid, 
   because when I activate a different theme, the grid does show up.
 * Can someone help me?

 * Hey mlre36, where exactly are the pasting the shortcode? You shouldn’t need any
   extra code. As Kadence Themes mentioned, do you have page content enabled in 
   theme options > home layout?
