Support » Plugin: Mergado Pack » eShops went offline because of this plugin

  • Resolved eoinkennedy

Over the weekend, 4 of our eshops went offline because of this plugin.
We couldn’t get to any pages, or admin anything.

The only way to get them back running was to delete the directory for this plugin.

    Any why?

Because your own website was offline.

What kind of integration do you have back to your own website from this plugin, and why would it cause entire websites to fail?
Why didn’t it timeout and let people access their websites?

Needless to say, I’m never going to run this plugin again, and will never recommend it to anyone.

    we apologize for the inconvenience.

Everything should be working now. We are working on a fix so that this error does not happen again in the future. We will release the fix in the next version.

    About your question.

We only load news from our websites into the module administration to inform you about new features and versions.

Plugin downloads news from RSS feed. Like this one.

Unfortunately, this address was unavailable for some time and due to an error in the PHP process caused the site to crash.

Once again, we apologize and will do everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

    Team Mergado
