I know that you can set the number of options per item on the eShop settings page, but what if some of my items need 3 options and some only need 1 or 2? If I leave the extra(s) blank on a per item basis, it shows in the dropdown on the item as “@ $0.00”. Is there any way to stop the blank options from displaying (on the visitor side) on the items that don’t use them?

  • can I see a page where this is happening – because it shouldn’t.

the select box should only contain the items you have specified, and the blank ones should not be showing at all.

Thanks again for the quick help 🙂

(ignore the graphic “add to cart” and “view cart buttons. We’re transitioning this site from another cart plugin, and those belong to that)

can you confirm that the option/price are both empty for this third option?

    Yep, I checked just now.

Well it certainly doesn’t work like that on my test site.

Are you able to give me temporary access to your site to have a look? if so please email details via elfin@elfden.co.uk

It’s a client’s site, so I’ll have to ask her. I *can* tell you that we have the items as posts, rather than pages. IDK if that’s the issue or what?

shouldn’t be at all – but it’s a real mystery to me atm.

Asked the site owner and am just waiting for her OK 🙂

ETA: and because I’m impatient, I went in and looked at the post again to see if I’d missed something earlier. There was a space in the description and price text fields for that option that was supposed to be unused, and when I backspaced those and save…voila! Not sure if the client accidentally added those or what, but at least I think I’ve found the fix!

    oh that’s good news.
