Support » Theme: Escutcheon » Escutcheon titles not showing up

  • After the last WordPress update, I believe all my page titles stopped showing up including on the blog page, None of the titles are showing up that are supposed to be in a bright blue.

    Can anyone help me get this important aspect of my webpage back up?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Yeah I suspected that as there was an update not too long ago and I may not have noticed the issue.

    Thank you

    @thephysiquemechanic – I see this in your CSS, which is what’s hiding your page and post titles:

    .entry-header {
        display: none;
    }

    That seems to be coming from this file:

    http://thephysiquemechanic.com/wp-content/themes/escutcheon/assets/stylesheets/front-page-style.css

    That doesn’t seem to be a file included in the original theme folder, did you add it yourself?

    I would recommend adding custom CSS only in the Additional CSS editor, or in a child theme, not in the theme itself. The reason is that your changes will be overwritten every time you update the theme.

    If you have any other questions, just let me know!

    Thank you so much for your reply and taking the time to take a look at everything I had a friend take a look and he said he was able to find the problem and would let me know when he fixed it. That file is a cover page basically the landing page for my site that I had designed period after the recent update some things got changed. I’m going to go in and take a look at that though I appreciate it. Thanks again
