    What I’ve tried:

    • Verified in options that a Default Featured Image is set.
    • De- and re-activated plugin, ensure it’s the latest version (from a year ago).
    • Cleared default image in settings, saved. Then set a new, different image as the default and saved. Still errors.

    Seeing this on three of my sites. Help?

    I’ve tried this on a clean WP 4.8.1 with DFI 1.6 I don’t see it.
    I’m guessing either the theme or a plugin is causing this.

    Can you add the following code in: default-featured-image/set-default-featured-image.php line 203

    echo '<pre><code>';
    $debug = debug_backtrace();
    foreach ($debug as $trace) {
        if (isset($trace['file'])) {
            if (isset($trace['file'])){ echo $trace['file']; }
            if (isset($trace['line'])){ echo ":{$trace['line']}  "; }
        }
        echo '<em>';
        if (isset($trace['class'])){ echo $trace['class']; }
        if (isset($trace['type'])){ echo $trace['type']; }
        if (isset($trace['function'])){ echo $trace['function'];}
        echo '</em>';
        echo '<br/>';
    }
    echo '</code></pre>';

    And show me the debug output?
