Support » Fixing WordPress » Errors with database

  • Hello. So I had a “Establish database error” when trying to get on my site. I did a WordPress database repair. While some things were fixed, some errors remained. After the repair, I was told to copy and paste and submit these outstanding errors to the forum in hopes of getting them fixed. Here they are:

wp_users: 6 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_usermeta: 6 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_posts: 6 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_comments: 5 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_options: Table is marked as crashed
wp_postmeta: 13 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_term_taxonomy: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
wp_term_relationships: 2 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_commentmeta: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly

    Thanks in advance.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Then try repairing all tables.

I will give it a try. Thank you.
