# errors in 2.8.4 download

 * I installed 3 times. During the download, I keep getting files that are duplicate.
   I tried replacing, didn’t work. Then I tried not replacing, it didn’t work. I
   tried a combination of replacing/not replacing, it didn’t work.
 * I get the following error message for incoming links, plugins and development
   blog:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /homepages/14/d179116497/htdocs/
   giconnect4/wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line 4488
 * I also tried to install a new template and got this error:
    Downloading install
   package from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/atahualpa.3.4.1.zip](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/atahualpa.3.4.1.zip).
 * Unpacking the package.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /homepages/14/d179116497/htdocs/
   giconnect4/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 3087
 * I have installed WordPress many times and never had these issues.
    There appear
   to be bugs in the current download. I need to get my site up asap–how can I get
   around these problems?

   you upgrading from?

 * hmmm. thanks. I’m not upgrading. It’s a new site. Never had these issues before.
   Not sure what to do – but am going to try to install from an old copy of WordPress
   I downloaded a few months ago.
