Support » Plugin: All-in-One Event Calendar » Errors due to overuse of WP_Filesystem

  • Resolved rogerlos

All In One Events Calendar is constantly hitting WP_Filesystem, so much so that on my windows server, it is trying to check if it can write a file while it is still checking that same ability in another process, creating a filesystem sharing violation. As a result, I am seeing PHP warnings constantly from AIOEC.

AIOEC hits methods like _get_writable_cache_dir in lib/factory/strategy.php every time the plugin is called. Some complex admin pages which deal with widgets via ajax may make numerous requests in quick succession.

Surely this method (and others which hit WP_Filesystem can be checked at an interval and written to a transient option value? The permissions or existence of the cache directory is not going to change every millisecond.

  • Hi @rogerlos,

Try going to Events > Settings > Advanced > Advanced Settings >

    Check: Use frontend rendering.
    Uncheck: Use advanced JS cache.
Check: Link CSS in <head> section when file cache is unavailable.

    Save settings.
