If you can FTP into your site, try renaming the folder of the last plugin you installed. That should deactivate that plugin and remove the error message.

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Use the phpMyAdmin method if you can manage it. It seems to achive better results across the board.

Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    You may try this:

    1. Delete (mere renaming of the plugin directory will not work) the plugin which caused the problem in the first place (using FTP).
    2. If the problem persists, back-up the changed files and folders and the database, delete all WP files (except .htaccess, wp-config.php, wp-content folder and extra files and folders) and upload the latest version (from fresh;ly-downloaded pack) of WordPress.
    3. Upload and activate plugins one by one - again freshly unpacked ones!

Though time-consuming, it works in majority of such cases.
