Support » Plugin: JCH Optimize » Error writing files to cache

  • after activating the plugin i couldnt access the plugin settings page. so as you said (HERE) I created the cache folder and i was able to see the settings page though without any settings to change, and in the top of the page there was this error that said “Error writing files to cache”.

    i am using CloudFlare
    i am using Wordfence
i am using some .htaccess codes

so i tried pausing the cloudflare service, no change.
i tried stopping the wordfence live, nothing.
i checked my .htaccess codes to see if i restrict wp-content, but no.

    what do you reckon?

Try checking the permissions of the cache folder. Set it to 755. If that doesn’t work try 775, then 777 if your host allows you to set that permissions.

It could be that PHP doesn’t have the right permissions to write to the server.

Check with your host and let them know this plugin is trying to write some files to the cache folder and ask if there are any restrictions.
