I’m getting the following error when I load the events list:

Fatal error: Call to a member function loadDomainStylesScripts() on a non-object in /event-list.php on line 16

Any idea what might be causing this? I also noticed that I don’t have the ability to create a post as an event on the new posts page. I’m not sure if these 2 issues are related.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey there @jjwhite01!

Are you using a theme that supports The Events Calendar? The reason I ask is that we recommend using templates when customizing our plugin, which would be located in the tribe-events folder inside your theme.

Could you give our testing for conflicts guide a shot?

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Ed. The plugin worked great on this site until recently when I had to restore an old backup of the site. After the restore is when it stopped working. I know it worked at the time the restore was created as well so I’m a little stumped. I’ll try the testing for conflicts guide.

Still no luck. I don’t think it’s a conflict with any other plugins since I haven’t installed anything new. Is anyone familiar with the particular error?

    Hey @jjwhite01,

Sorry are still having problems with this.

The other thing that comes to mind to me is an issue with a custom template in your tribe-views folder or a plugin file was modified.

Do you have any updates available for The Events Calendar?

Thanks Ed. I updated to the latest version of The Events Calendar (Version 4.6.13). I don’t see a tribe-views folder in my theme folder. Should this be there? I’m wondering if the theme was developed with an older version of The Events Calendar plugin that is no longer compatible?

After backing up your database, I would try to uninstall the plugin (delete The Events Calendar folder).

Using the testing for conflicts you can always temporarily change to an unmodified theme and see what happens.

    Take care,
    Ed 🙂

I got it working. It turns out this theme was build with a MUCH older version of the plugin and it was just an incompatibility issue. I restored the older version and it’s working again.

    Awesome, kudos to you!

Since this is figured out, I’ll mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to reach out and open a new thread if you come across any other issues or have questions!

    Ed 🙂
