Support » Plugins and Hacks » Infinite Slider » Error with line 306 of the infinite.js

  • Hi,

    I’m experiencing an error. I just grabbed a fresh installation of WordPress (3.9.1) and installed Infinite Slider. It was the first plugin that I installed.

    I then created four posts with featured images in order to test out the slider. I also added the shortcode [infinite_slider] to my post.

    But Infinite Slider just won’t work. It seems to load up fine. It shows up on the page (except for a few black areas in the slider), but if I try to navigate it I get a JS error. The error says the following:

    In the Chrome Inspector:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'title' of undefined infinite.js?ver=2.0.0:306

    // Or sometimes
    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'title' of undefined infinite.js?ver=2.0.0:325

    In the Firefox Inspector

    TypeError: infinite_vars.infinite_slides[imgindex] is undefined infinite.js:306

    // Or sometimes
    TypeError: infinite_vars.infinite_slides[imgindex] is undefined infinite.js:325

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

    This is usually caused by a badly configured WP_Query. Please make sure that you’re using the correct data for “post type” post categories and post tags in the options!

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for the blazingly fast reply!

    Since it’s a fresh installation of Infinite Slider, I’m not sure which settings could be wrong. I’m open to try anything you suggest, however. Here’s a screenshot of my current settings page for Infinite Slider.

    Note that my test posts are actually just the default ‘post’ type, and the page that includes the shortcode is just the default ‘page’ type.

    Thanks!

    Pete

    Hey Pete,
    Sorry for not getting back earlier this time, I was on a vacation!
    Were you able to solve this or do you still need help?
    Thanks,
    Mark
