Hi! I begin to use the plugin to upload on S3, but, if a deactivate the local media (to only upload directly in Amazon) generates and error. I tried to crop an image feature card in web stories plugin (from Google) and the crop function only works if i activate the local media and upload a new image.

I know that the recommended option is to have “local media” enabled due to other plugins, but what is this error? Offload can’t download the image and recrop it internally?

Thanks for the help and sorry for my english

We recently had a customer have problems with Google’s Web Stories plugin, looks like there’s an incompatibility with Web Stories due to the way it handles media.

All we can suggest at the moment is not using the Remove Local Files option in WP Offload Media Lite if that helps with compatibility with the Web Stories plugin. If using WP Offload Media, you can periodically turn Remove Local Files on and run the tool to remove local files for already offloaded media.

We don’t know whether it is possible to build support for it, but we’ll keep an eye on requests to support the Web Stories plugin.

Hi! I tested the new version today, and if i mantain the deactivated local media (to only upload directly in Amazon) the image cropped its uploaded to Amazon, but not change the crop images in Media Upload Window. And the image (in original host) didn’t exist.

I tested again in Web Stories plugin, when i try to crop the “poster image”.
