# error when unpacking zip

 * I attempted to restore the “uploads” folder using updraft but it just keeps running
   for hours and hours without showing any progress or messages in safari. When 
   I try in firefox I get “Content Encoding Error” and it won’t load at all.
 * I tried unzipping the “uploads” directory into one folder and then it says that
   8 (of 30) zip archives have errors. The archives are about 30 MB each.
    Is it
   safe to use them for restoring the site through ftp even though they are broken?
   When I look at the extracted folder, it has a lot more pictures than my currently
   broken site so I thought it might be better than nothing.
 * I did not have this problem restoring plugins and themes. My site is hosted by
   godaddy and I saw that the “preview dns” can cause errors, but I can’t find where
   I can disable it?
 * Also, why are my uploads backup broken in the first place? 🙁

 * Thank you for your reply, I solved the issue already by doing a manual update
   from the backup I had on the server instead of the download on my computer. Didn’t
   get any error message when I extracted the archives directly in c-panel’s file
   manager, had to do one by one so it took some time but now everything looks ok.
   Not sure if this was the right way to do it but it seems to have worked.
    The
   error might have been caused by the images with names in Japanese, maybe my computer
   doesn’t process them the same way as the server?
 * I set the archive size to 25mb now and hope that it works better in the future.
   
   I quite often get over 20 resumptions before the backup is finished, is this 
   normal?

 * I’m also getting warning messages that I don’t have enough visitors, I find this
   strange since I have another newly started site that has fewer visitors but there
   I don’t get these warnings.

 * The low visitor warning is displayed when there is a long gap between resumptions(
   i.e. restarting the backup after it has been timed out).
 * This appears to be the only current issue in the backup log.
 * The longer gap may be due to not having enough visitors to the site at the time
   of the backup to trigger the scheduler on time. Or it may be due to low resources
   on the server meaning that it takes longer to reach the next resumption task 
   in the scheduler.
    However, it does not appear to be causing any further issues
   with the backups.
 * You may wish to ask your hosts if it is possible to set up automated tasks on
   your hosting account. If so, you can try scheduling an automated visit to the
   site every 10 minutes around the time of the backup.
