Hi there!
I understand your concern, and I’ll be happy to assist you in fixing this issue.Could you please make sure you’ve set the Availability Date attribute value in the Google for WooCommerce attribute settings?
Here’s a screenshot to show you where you can find that attribute.
- Go to WooCommerce > Products > All Products.
- Click on the product you want to edit.
- On the Edit Product page, scroll down to the Product data section.
- You should see a “Google for WooCommerce” tab on the left-hand side.
- Open that tab to access and edit Google product attributes.
For more details, check out this guide:

I hope this helps!
Thanks!
What does it mean if products are partially approved? Why?
And why is one product being recognized as alcohol? It’s a flower bouquet. 🤣

Hello orschiro,
Thank you for your reply.
I understand you’re seeing some products marked as partially approved and one mistakenly identified as alcohol, even though it’s a flower bouquet. This may be due to Google’s automated review process incorrectly flagging items based on product names or descriptions.
I recommend reaching out to Google Support directly to request a review and clarification. They’ll be able to explain the reason for the partial approval and help ensure your products are correctly categorized.
Let me know how it goes. 🙂
Thanks!
How/where do I reach out to Google Support?
Hi @orschiro,
You’re welcome!
You can reach out to Google Merchant Center support directly through this link:
Once there, click the “Contact Us” button at the bottom of the page to start a support request.
Thanks!
And how can I verify that/if my products actually got published on Google Shopping?
Hi @orschiro,
You’re welcome!
You’ll be able to see whether your products are published directly from your Google Merchant Center dashboard. For more details on how to check product approval status and visibility, you can refer to this guide: 👉 Google Reviews and Approvals – WooCommerce Docs
Thanks!
Why does it say that there is an issue granting access to the Google Merchant account while on the Product Feed tab I can see that the syncing is working properly?
See these screenshots:

Hi there!
That’s really odd. Just to verify, have you tried clearing your browser cache and then clicking the Grant Access button again to see if that works for you? Also, could you please check if any error messages appear in the browser console when you click the Grant Access button, or if any message pops up on the screen?
Also, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:- System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status
- Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.
Thanks! See below video. I am not understanding this loop. Why does it want to connect to my WordPress.com account? Shouldn’t it connect to the Merchant Center?

Hi @orschiro,
Thank you for sharing the video; that was really helpful. I can see that when you click the Grant Access button for Google Merchant Center, it unexpectedly redirects you to a WordPress.com connection page. That definitely shouldn’t be part of the flow, and I understand how confusing that must be.
This kind of behavior may be the result of a plugin conflict interfering with the Google for WooCommerce connection process. To help isolate the cause, I recommend performing a quick plugin conflict test:
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and the Google for WooCommerce plugin.
- Then try clicking the Grant Access button again and see if it proceeds correctly to the Merchant Center connection.
Once you’ve tested that, let us know how it goes. If the issue resolves during this test, we’ll know another plugin was causing the interference, and we can work from there to identify which one. Looking forward to your update!
Additionally, do I need Jetpack?
Do I need a WordPress.com account?
Do I need the WooCommerce subscription manager?
Hi @orschiro,
Thanks for your follow-up! To clarify, are you asking whether Jetpack, a WordPress.com account, or the WooCommerce subscription manager is required specifically for the Google for WooCommerce plugin to work correctly, or are you asking more generally in relation to your overall store setup?
Also, I wanted to check if you were able to see my earlier response about testing for a plugin conflict by temporarily deactivating other plugins and trying the “Grant Access” process again. That would help us determine what’s causing the redirect loop you showed in your video.
Let me know and I’ll be happy to guide you further!
Thanks!
Same issue when disabling all plugins but the two mentioned.

See also what happens when I try to grant access via another WordPress.com account.
When I try to approve it, something goes wrong.
The credentials to our site are correct.
I am just not understanding it.
Thus my question. Do I need Jetpack to properly approve it?
