 * On my site I have multiple blogs and two of them use the plugin Revolution Slider
version 5.1.1. One of these sites no longer needs this slider but I cannot deactivate
the plugin. When I do I get this error message:
    `Warning: in_array() expects
parameter 2 to be array, null given in /storage/content/.../admin/revslider-admin.
   class.php on line 389`
 * Then I tried to disable the plugin by updating the option_value in `wp_xx_options`
   table as described here: [https://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/disable-a-wordpress-plugin/](https://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/disable-a-wordpress-plugin/).
When I do that the value is updated for less than a minute. When I refresh the
page in phpmyadmin the value is reset to the original! How is this possible!?
 * On the network level I am using **W3 Total Cache** and **WP-Optimize** to speed
up the site. Can this case the update database problem?
 * Also, I am unable to update the Revolution Slider plugin because it is a commercial
plugin and I have lost the license key. It was purchased by another user who
is very hard to get in contact with.

 * You can also remove the plugin via ftp by deleting it from the wp-contents/plugins.
 * This may leave some residue behind in the database, but will get the plugin removed.

 * As I mentioned in my question, there are one site that uses the plugin so I am
   unable to remove the plugin.

 * My apologies, I miss-read your post. That does make is tricky if you are gambling
   with losing a licence key.
 * Have you tried to contact support for the Revolution Slider? [https://www.themepunch.com/support-center/](https://www.themepunch.com/support-center/)
