Whenever I'm deactivating the plugin, these error messages show up, even if I change the permission of wp-content to 777. What is causing these problems?

W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically removed to complete the deactivation.
    Please execute commands manually:

Edit file xxx/wp-config.php and remove next lines:
Edit file xxx/.htaccess and remove all lines between and including # BEGIN W3TC Browser Cache and # END W3TC Browser Cache markers.
Execute next commands in a shell:
    rm xxx/wp-content/advanced-cache.php
    rm xxx/wp-content/object-cache.php
    rm xxx/wp-content/db.php
