    Howdy

I’m attempting to add a favicon via appearance>customize but receive the below error. Any ideas?

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Customize_Image_Control’ not found in /home/blendwel/public_html/wp-includes/customize/class-wp-customize-background-image-control.php on line 17

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Skipman!

That is not a fun error be reading but then again what error is good to read, right? 😀

What steps have you taken to try and resolve this?

    Have you tried:

    • Clearing your caches?
    • Disabling all plugins?
    • Switching to a core, bundled theme like Twenty Sixteen?

    Did you recently update anything?

Let us know if any of those help in any way.

Hi Jose, thanks for taking a look over my post.

A bank error that accidentally deposits money in your account is about the only good error I can think of… 😉

    Anyways, back to business.

Clearing your caches? Tried this. Didn’t work.
Disabling all plugins? Yes. No effect on the error.
Switching to a core, bundled theme like Twenty Sixteen? I’m using the Avada theme which has been customized for woocommerce subscriptions.

I updated to WP 4.4 not that long ago. I also migrated from Bluehost to SiteGround – could this be a cause of the issue?

    Thanks
    Sebastian

    Hey Sebastian,

How did you update to 4.4? Was it from the Dashboard > Updates screen?
