Error using Beautiful-Sunrise-10 Theme (4 posts)

When I try to edit a page after installing the beautiful-sunrise-10 plugin, I get the following error when attempting to save the edit.

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/tendreln/public_html/NathanHill.info/wp-content/themes/beautiful-sunrise-10/functions.php:72) in /home/tendreln/public_html/NathanHill.info/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 391

Doesn't happen with the default theme or some other themes I tried. Anyone else run into this and solved it yet?

Other posts helped me solve my problem. I removed all blank lines from the functions.php file and this solved the problem. I see quite a few themes contain blank lines. Isn't there a way not to accept them if the submitted themes contain blank lines? Seems like this would save a lot of us the trouble of researching this.

the blank lines you need to concern yourself with are the ones that occur before the opening <?php or after the closing ?>

those and any line breaks that occur in the same place. for what its worth, the most common cause of these is user edits, not poorly made themes.

consider that if one theme had the same problem, the author would know it know it no time as every person attempting to use the theme would experience the same thing.

I don't think it would be feasible to enforce having no blank lines.

I fixed a similar error in this theme by getting rid of blank lines, but in fact the theme worked perfectly in rotten IE6, and errored in Firefox and Safari. This illustrates that it's also impossible to say whether a theme will work across the board.

Apart from the German, which I can read but not overly well, the main problem for me was the very strange organization of his code. Some places you'd have tons of code in big blobs with almost no line breaks, then all of a sudden there would be many line breaks for no apparent reason. Maybe he was using some kind of crude code encryptor? Who knows. I might just get rid of the theme anyway, even though it's quite pretty and working now.
