# Error user URL required

 * I enabled to show USP form only if the user is logged in.
    But when i try to 
   submit a post it gives me the error Errore: URL utente richiesto But the user
   is authenticated and in fact the URL field is hidden. I use User Registration
   plugin for managing frontend user registration and login.

 * Yes sorry, it’s the Italian translation of the string “User URL required”.
    In
   USP options Post URL is enabled and required and under Registered Users section
   i have these checked

 * I just tested the same configuration on default WP (i.e., using the hidden URL
   field), and there is no issue. So the issue must be some conflict with the User
   Registration plugin. If you let me know the steps to replicate the issue on default
   WP (i.e., only the USP and User Reg. plugin active), I’ll investigate asap.

 * In order to replicate the issue i created a page with these shortcodes:
 * [usp_member]
    [user-submitted-posts] [/usp_member]
 * [usp_visitor]
    [user_registration_my_account] [/usp_visitor]
 * so a logged in user see the USP form and a non logged in user see the login form
   created with User Registration plugin.
    Once logged in try to submit a post and
   it gives error:

 * I also tried login through wp-login.php instead frontend form created with User
   Registration plugin but have same error.

 * Ok so I activated User Registration and USP free version on default WP. I enabled
   the hidden URL field and tried submitting a test post while logged in. The result
   is normal: the post was submitted successfully with no errors.
 * So the issue is probably is with your theme, or perhaps some other plugin. In
   which case some basic troubleshooting is recommended to find out what’s happening.
   I would be glad to provide a troubleshooting guide if it will be useful for you.

 * I did some tests and disabled all plugins except USP free version, User Registration,
   Akismet and JetPack, i also activated Twenty Twenty theme and tried to submit
   a post but i still get the error message in red “User URL required” after clicking
   Submit post button.
    From browser console i see no errors, just some jQuery related
   warnings. I also tried enabling WP_DEBUG but no errors showing. By the way in
   the USP options i set Post URL Display but don’t require and in this way the 
   post was successfully submitted.

 * That’s useful infos, thanks. I tested with the URL field both optional and then
   required. Each test there are no errors.
 * For this:
 * “..disabled all plugins except USP free version, User Registration, Akismet and
   JetPack,”
 * Try with just USP and User Reg. active. All other plugins deactivated. And using
   the default WP theme. Alternately you could set up a new WP site for testing,
   then try again that way.

 * Hello, i didn’t found the solution with the Post URL option display and required(
   also deactivating everything and tried with official WP themes), anyway solved
   with the option set display but not required, so ok.
