The Plugin was already working. But since a few days when i click “Documents” in the backend i get the error Message: “Upload folder is not writable. Export and file upload features will not be functional.”
When i try to upload a file via wpdr i get an error message that the folder uploads/2013/01/ can’t be created. But the folder already exists.
The permissions are set correctly to 777.
Upload via Article or Page is working!

    What i tried so far:
    – deactivate/reactivate plugin
    – update permalink structure
    – delete upload folder, create it, set permissions again

The Plugin worked in 2012 and broke in 2013. What else could i try?

    WP 3.4.2 , WP Document Revisions 1.3.3

OK, found it. It was a problem with the path you can set in SETTINGS > MEDIA > Document Upload Directory. Sorry!

    Hi Guys,

I had the same problem for few of my websites, I think it happens because of “gravity forms” some web hosting servers with their permissions, but there is a simple trick,

    1. Go to the Plugins menu, look for the gravity forms plugin
    2. Deactivate it
    3. Update the needed plugins, or whatever
    4. Reactivate the gravity forms
    5. Done !

    Good lick.

Rimaz, that all sounds good, but could you please elaborate on, “Update the needed plugins, or whatever”? Not sure what you mean by that. Are you referring to updating Gravity Forms plugin or what? Thanks.
